#1: First uni challenge!

Updated: Jan 15, 2021

It has been about more than two weeks since I had a normal day without deadlines and assignments. My last two weeks were dumped in working and stress. I had never thought before that my life would be hectic like that. I was confused with all the new things at RMIT, do not know where to start and how to deal with them.

But the first things will always be the most memorable, and I think in my situation, it is not an exception. I have had happiness and experience on the very first days of my uni journey, especially with Making Media. My team had only three members - it meant we had to work harder, but we were happy working together because we shared the same interests in our topic "Morning Routine". We all wanted to spread the positive energy to everyone as well as encourage audiences to improve their health starting with the morning. After three meetings, we borrowed equipment to record our podcast and it was difficult to reduce the noise from the air conditioner, so we decided to go under the table (like some teams from previous years) like this:

Can you see all three members of our team?

On week 4, we submitted our first draft and we thought that was good. Many groups even had not had a clear podcast. We were a little bit overconfident with our podcast. But on week 5, everything turned the table because we did not have a separate advertisement, which meant we might lose points. There were only three days before the deadline, and we decided to record our podcast once again. Once again at nearly the starting point. We were nervous since we had not finished our Advertising assignment yet and we also had three more days. The atmosphere in the last recording day was not the same as the first one. Thu seemed to be nervous. So am I. Anh tried to cheer up everyone because, in our podcast, we wanted to deliver the energetic morning to our audiences. Finally, although there was something that we did not satisfy, overall was good. That was a lesson for us: Do not be too optimistic or pessimistic, as everything will have its solution, as long as you tried your best, you do not have to regret it.

My uni journey has just begun. I know I have a lot of challenges in the future but I believe that RMIT will be the right choice to ignite my passion and my dream. I am grateful for everything that happened in the past or will come in the next days. Life is a story and each chapter will be written by ourselves. So, let's write your story in your own way.
